What documents are required to import a vehicle?

Bill of Landing,Export certificates,Certificate of Roadworthiness, Authentic Original Logbook, Import Declaration Form. No need to worry at Ecobay we handle all the technicality for you.

What are the import duties and taxes?

Customs Duty:This is usually a percentage of the vehicle's value, which includes the cost, insurance, and freight (could be 2.5%). Other taxes included are Excise Duty, Value Added Tax (VAT), harbor maintenance feeetc.

How long does the import process take?

3months.

What really happens at vehicle collection?

Transport to Collection Point: The vehicle is then transported from the port or warehouse to the designated collection point of your choosing.

Do you offer real time tracking of the cargo shipment(s)

We offer real time tracking of your shipment(s) from the point they leave the port

Can I import a vehicle that was not originally manufactured in the U.K?

Yes. We also do vehicle imports from Japan, and the U.S

Is there an insuareance amount paid?

There are different types of optional insuarances you can buy during your cargo import process. Generally 90% of our shipments arrive on time, without a single scratch on them .
